Electrodeionization (EDI) in desalination

Protection of sensitive processes

EDI or the electro-deionisation process uses a combination of an ion exchanger resin with membrane technology and electric electrodes. It does not require any regeneration chemicals and is typically used for final treatment, or polishing, after the first stages of desalination.
